Cusco – Capuliyoc – Santa Rosa
La salida desde su hotel en Cusco será a las 4:30 am, comenzando un viaje en autobús a través de los Andes hasta Capuliyoc, donde llegaremos alrededor de las 8:30 am Después del desayuno, comenzaremos nuestra caminata hacia Choquequirao, una de las legendarias ciudades perdidas de los Incas.
La primera parte de la caminata consiste en un descenso de 4 horas desde Capuliyoc (2950 m) hasta Chikiska (1950 m), donde almorzaremos. Durante el trayecto, disfrutará de las primeras vistas del Cañón del Apurímac, uno de los más profundos del Perú. Este ofrece tramos panorámicos espectaculares, con paisajes que van desde la sierra andina hasta la densa vegetación del bosque nuboso.
Después del almuerzo, continuaremos durante dos horas más hasta Santa Rosa (2230 m / 7300 pies), donde acamparemos para pasar la noche.

Santa Rosa – Marampata – Choquequirao
After breakfast, prepare for one of the most challenging yet rewarding days of this trek. We’ll begin with a 4-hour ascent to Marampata (2,940 m / 9,646 ft). Along the way, you’ll pass sugarcane plantations, where locals produce “Cañazo,” a traditional alcoholic beverage that has been made for centuries and is sold in cities like Cusco.
We’ll have lunch at a local home with stunning views of the mountains and river. Then, after lunch, we’ll ascend for another 2 hours to Choquequirao (3,050 m / 10,006 ft), a spectacular Inca site nestled in the Peruvian Andes. Choquequirao was one of the last Inca cities built in the cloud forest and is believed to have served as a checkpoint for Vilcabamba, the last Inca capital, during the 16th century.

Choquequirao – Chikiska
Wake up in your tent with a cup of coffee or coca tea, courtesy of your trekking team, while enjoying the spectacular sunrise in this magical place. Then, you’ll make a 3-hour descent to Santa Rosa (2,230 m / 7,300 ft), where we’ll have lunch after breakfast.
Later, you’ll continue with another hour’s descent and a 2-hour ascent to our final campsite at Chikiska (1,950 m / 6,398 ft). This is the perfect day to enjoy the surrounding landscape, surrounded by hundreds of flowers, birds, and waterfalls in the distance.

Chikiska – Saywite – Cuzco
On the final day, you’ll wake up early to enjoy one last breakfast with your team. Then, you’ll prepare for the final 4-hour uphill hike to Capuliyoc. Upon arrival, we’ll prepare a special feast: the underground pachamanca, where you’ll sample a variety of vegetables, meats, and fruits cooked underground with hot stones.
After lunch, it will be time to say goodbye to your trekking team. You’ll then take private transport to the Saywite archaeological site, a mysterious rock formation believed to be part of a complex pre-Incan irrigation system. You’ll have ample time to explore the area before returning to Cusco, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel around 6:00 pm.
