The 2-Day Machu Picchu Sunrise Tour is an unforgettable experience designed to explore one of the Seven Wonders of the World at a relaxed pace while enjoying the spectacular sunrise over the ancient Inca citadel. The journey begins in Cusco with transportation to the train station and a scenic train ride to Aguas Calientes, where you will have time to rest and explore the town. The following morning, you will take an early bus to Machu Picchu to enter during the first hours of the day and admire the first rays of sunlight illuminating its ancient temples, mountains, and breathtaking landscapes. Accompanied by a professional guide, you will discover the history, architecture, and mysteries of this fascinating archaeological site. After the guided visit, you will return to Aguas Calientes for your train back and continue by transportation to Cusco, completing an unforgettable journey filled with culture, nature, and adventure.
Detailed Itinerary
Sacred Valley - Aguas Calientes
We will begin our tour of the Sacred Valley of the Incas at 8:30 am, with pickup from your hotel. We will visit Pisac, its artisan market, and the archaeological complex, then continue to Urubamba for lunch.
In the afternoon, we will explore the fortress of Ollantaytambo, still inhabited by descendants of the Incas, before taking the train to Aguas Calientes at 4:36 pm. We will arrive around 6:30 pm, where we will spend the night at your selected hotel in Machu Picchu Pueblo.

We’ll wake up early to board the first bus at 5:30 am and arrive at Machu Picchu at 6:00 am, where we’ll enjoy the sunrise. Afterward, we’ll take a 2-hour guided tour to see the main points of interest in the citadel. Following the tour, you’ll have approximately 4 hours of free time to explore on your own (optional: hike up Huayna Picchu Mountain for USD $15). At the end of the tour, we’ll descend to Aguas Calientes to take the train back to Cusco, arriving at approximately 8:00 pm.
